Ben Hunter

 I’m currently serving as the interim Development Director on EVE Frontier, where I lead the execution of game development to support a visionary new entry into the EVE universe. I act as a strategic bridge between core technology teams and game leadership, ensuring alignment of platform capabilities with product roadmaps. My role is about influence without authority, bringing people together, managing change effectively, and ensuring teams are empowered to deliver innovative, high-impact features on time and within budget. 

I began my journey in the games industry in 2009, driven by a passion for technology and storytelling. Starting as a QA Tester at CCP Games, I used every opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and grow, eventually moving through roles in QA, production, and development leadership. My path was never linear, but always driven by curiosity and a commitment to both craft and team. Over the years, I’ve led multidisciplinary teams across audio, graphics, and core engine development, taking on increasing responsibility for technical strategy, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.

What’s kept me inspired over the last 15+ years is the opportunity to collaborate with brilliant, passionate individuals on products that challenge the norms of online interaction. From building roadmaps for platform innovation to managing stakeholder alignment and driving cloud cost optimization, I’ve thrived in complex, fast-paced environments. My focus has shifted from just delivering projects to building systems, cultures, and leaders who can deliver sustainably over time.

It’s easy to focus on your technical abilities or achievements, but what sets great candidates apart is their ability to collaborate, adapt, and communicate.
